Station Manager: Steve Morris

Senior Producer: Saul Abner

Saul Abner is WCRT's Senior Producer.

Saul has been with WCRT since Jan 2001 and prior to that had worked at Beacon Radio (Audio Controller) and at Heartlands Radio (Journalist).

Saul is currently responsible for the community news and views magazine programme that WCRT produces for BBC Radio WM. He has built extensive community links. He works with all the Neighbourhood Management Teams in the City, attends forum meetings as necessary and links with Network Consortium through our Board member Jo Metson.

Saul's sense of humour is legendary.

Saul says:
"I'm responsible for the weekly circus that passes for a BBC WM prog every Sunday evening. I also look after speech content, interviews, editing, and kitchen design. I've been working here for over 4 years, still can't find an escape tunnel, and I'm rubbish with spades unless we're playing strip poker; then I have a heart for everyone. Before bluffing my way through this job, I worked at Beacon FM for a while, but they were only interested in a radio equivalent of "snap". Take my advice and sleep your way to the top. It probably won't work, but you'll have some interesting stories for your grandchildren, and doctor..."

Administrator: Maria Jones

Maria Jones is WCRT's Administrator.

Maria has been with the company since May 2000. She has extensive business administration experience and is computer literate in all office software.

Maria's duties comprise all the administration duties within our radio services and currently include supervision of our volunteers and people on work placements.

Training & Development Officer: Lee Bannister

Lee Bannister is WCRT's Training & Development Officer.

Lee came to us from 100.7 Heart FM & Galaxy 102.2 in Birmingham where he worked for 5 years. Prior to that Lee worked at Beacon Radio from 1989 to 2000. His 15 years+ prior experience and expertise is a major asset to the company. Lee has worked in most departments within Radio such as Programme Production and Presentation, News & Sport, Engineering, Research, Commercial Production, Audio Gathering and Commercial Scheduling plus he's well versed in a wide range of digital radio editing systems.

Lee also presents the Saturday Morning programme on WCR FM called 'UpAndHappy!'. More details can be found at wcrfm.com and upandhappy.com.

Lee also put together this website, so it's a strange feeling to be writing about himself in this way!
